I have two large teeth on either side of my mouth in my lower jaw and these are very filled. I would like to have these crowned on the NHS but my dentist said they are too weak to crown. I think the roots are still OK. I do not want a lower denture (already have an upper denture) and would like these two remaining teeth crowned (other teeth either side have been extracted but I can just manage to eat using these remaining two ...

I went back to the dentist and she filed it off and shorten it but I still don't like it at all. Even the colour does not match the rest of my teeth. Could u pls advise me what to do I'm desperate!!!

Hello. I need a crown as I've had 2 lots of root canal treatment & now have a temporary filling. I am allergic to nickel & possibly other metals - I don't know which, as one can only get tested for common allergens. I don't appear to be allergic to gold, most silver, or brass. My dentist says all crowns are as strong as each other, but I have found information suggesting that gold ones are better as they last longer & don't ri...

Hi, I had a porcelain crown fitted on 6 Aug 2015 and a lumo appeared above this two months later. My Dentist said not to worry about it and to come bain 6 months for a check up. He refused to xray the area. I got a second opinion and an abcess was diagnosed immediately with xray to confirm. Should I be able to ask my dentist for the return of the fee for the crown? Thank you

Recently a 5 year old porcelain crown ( lower back) broke off while I was eating. It couldn't be replaced due to the fact some tooth and filling had broken off with it. The dentist told me that I would need a new crown, with posts and root filling. He told me to keep the broken crown safe so I could show the new dentist about to take over the practice for colour matching. He showed me xrays of the roots, said they were good an...

Hi I've had a crown fitted with a post. This is the sixth crown. All the others caused no issues from the moment they were fitted (& most of these are 30+ years & have no associated problems) This time my tooth/crown still hurts & has kept me awake at night. It was paid for ie not NHS or denlan etc. Could there still be an underlying infection? What redress do I have for the dentist to put this right without my paying out yet ...
