I am 30 years old and have had a porcelain crown on my second last bottom molar since my early teens. The gum has slowly receded over time so you can see silver around the porcelain, now I can see some of the original tooth where the gum has receded. I was prompted to look because the gum felt a bit tender when I was brushing. Is this bad??

I've just had my permanent crown fitted on one of my front teeth. It feels bulky and when I chew my lower teeth grinds into the rim where the crown attaches to the gum, it's so uncomfortable. I went back to the dentist and she filed it off and shorten it but I still don't like it at all. Even the colour does not match the rest of my teeth. Could u pls advise me what to do I'm desperate!!!

My two front incisors had root canal and crowns done on them. I have had the crowns replaced about 4 time with no trouble. Unfortunately the right tooth broke and I had to have a post put in and a new crown made. Since I had it fitted, there is pressure on all my teeth around the top of my mouth. It is also pushing on the left crown which is very uncomfortable and moving slightly. I have also noticed that I cannot bite togethe...

Hi There, about 6 months ago I had a silver crown fitted on the NHS, 2nd tooth from the back, my dentist did not think my tooth could be saved a was very weak from root canal but we we're lucky, due to this she said it was not worth paying private as she didn't hold much hope. Now my silver crown is fitted and settling well I dislike it even, I feel conches when I smile as you can see the silver crown. I went back to my dentis...

I had a second molar re-crowned a few weeks ago. The old crown, (put in by another dentist), didn't fit properly, & kept falling off. I found a new dentist, & the temp crown fit great. I didn't have any issues. But, the perm crown just doesn't feel right. My dentist adjusted the bite, but, I've told him that the crown either feels like it's loose, or as if it's "floating" when I bite down. He can't find anything wrong with it....
