I had a second molar re-crowned a few weeks ago. The old crown, (put in by another dentist), didn't fit properly, & kept falling off. I found a new dentist, & the temp crown fit great. I didn't have any issues. But, the perm crown just doesn't feel right. My dentist adjusted the bite, but, I've told him that the crown either feels like it's loose, or as if it's "floating" when I bite down. He can't find anything wrong with it....

I am an NHS patient and was fitted with a front crown less than 6 months ago. Too my utter horror, while at a friends BBQ it came out and got lost, we tried in vain to look for it. As it is a front tooth I am very self conscience. My question is, as it obviously should not have come out so unexpectedly soon and has been lost, could I reasonably expect be able to get another NHS replacement without any difficulties? as I'm conc...

Hi, I have a massive hole beneath my lower incisor and 2 NHS dentists say they cannot offer a crown or a denture without a fee. I have had fillings but they come out within a week or so. I receive pension credit. I have a partial denture that I have stopped wearing as it pivots centrally and is painfully uncomfortable and a speech impediment. It has just occurred to me that I can see no reason to not have a crown for free.

I just had 5 upper front teeth crowned with zirconium crowns. They look gorgeous and feel okay. When my husband told his dentist about them, his dentist was skeptical, saying the technology was too new. I have the utmost faith in MY dentist, but just for argument's sake, what is the downside of zirconium?

Hi the tops of my bottom four front teeth have become brown over the years. The brown stains cannot be removed by the hygienist and are very unsightly. I`m so ashamed of the state of my teeth that i hardly smile and try not to talk face to face with people. would it be possible to have my bottom front four teeth crowned on the nhs or would i have to have them done privately(which i can`t afford) thank you, A.James

I've just had 6 front crowns done and 2 vaneers. When I got the temporary crowns I'm I love it that they were slightly larger than my original teeth. And when o asked her if the real crowns would be the same size she said yes. But today when she fitted the real ones they are shorter than the temporary ones and I think shorter than my original teeth. I'm a bit gutted really becaue it's cost me so much money and been blinking pa...
