I have just visited my dentist and was informed I needed a crown on one of my lower front teeth. Told this would last for 10-15 years. I was told a porcelain crown would be the best choice but this was not covered by the NHS and would cost £400.Would be most grateful if you could confirm this please as I am very dubious unfortunately. Many thanks

I have an upper lateral incisor which has become a little bit loose and is not very healthy. Both the upper premolars are sore because the tooth beside each is missing, hence they've become the teeth I chew with. Is it possible to have crowns fitted by the NHS and a bridge between the premolar and first molar on the right. If not, what is the likely cost privately? Best wishes Katrina

I had a crown fitted on the NHS 6 montgs ago. It has now broken and taken the 'base/pin/stub' of the tooth with it. My dentist has informed me it is up repairable as a Crown. As the work was under taken less than 12 months ago, am I entitled to any form of treatment to rectify the problem?

My dentist has recommended I have certain teeth crowned.  This is going to be costly so I should like to have another opinion as to why this might be necessary?

I had a crown put in 20 years ago. It has been put back in about 6 times during this period. My current dentist tells me that it cannot be put in again because I have a fracture in the root. This missing tooth is a front upper tooth. What are my options?
