I had to have a crown and bridge removed because of decay under the crown. The tooth was root canal filled and the plan was to then replace the crown and bridge. The dentist says to go back in 6 months and have the replacement done at my next 6 monthly appointment. Where the old crown was I now have a stump over the root canal filling and a gap in front of it where the old bridge was. Is it usual to leave this for so long - I'...

In 1986 I had a crown on one front tooth which was crooked. In 2001,still unhappy, I had a veneer on the other front tooth and a new crown to replace old one. The new crown looked quite big and overlaps the (uncrowned) tooth to the right of it but the dentist at the time said he could not see anything wrong with it. After all this time i would still like something done with my top teeth and also my bottom teeth which are crook...

When the tip of my tongue touches the inside of my teeth it feels like something is on the tongue tip to spit out. It is really sensitive on the new crown that I got a couple of months ago.

About 2 years ago, I was experiencing much sensitivity on my 2 front teeth and went to the dentist. She said it was caries and resin was placed. 3 months ago, I chipped one of those front teeth and the resin fell off so the dentist made my tooth thinner (I say too thin) and placed resin again. I had too much sensitivity by then since resin was too close to the nerve so I had root canal therapy done and was told I needed a crow...

I have had 3 porcelain crown replacement on the same tooth as it keeps breaking in the same place. My dentist has given me a mouth guard which I wear religiously every night since it was given to me approximately 2 months ago. The crown has broken again in the exact same place. Why is this happening? I'm fed up of having to keep going back to my dentist as I feel bad that somehow this could be my fault.

Specially when the weather is too cold or I get a cold. The dentist took X-Ray but could not find any problem. I lost the same tooth but on the right side last year due to infection and since the extraction I've been feeling this sensitivity. Sometimes I t...

I had a second molar re-crowned a few weeks ago. The old crown, (put in by another dentist), didn't fit properly, & kept falling off. I found a new dentist, & the temp crown fit great. I didn't have any issues. But, the perm crown just doesn't feel right. My dentist adjusted the bite, but, I've told him that the crown either feels like it's loose, or as if it's "floating" when I bite down. He can't find anything wrong with it....

Hi, 6weeks ago I was in india and went to a highly recommended dentist and had 3 zircon crowns fitted on my lower left back teeth One of them ( the very back one) had a root canal and post and core procedure. My upper left back molars have had root canal treatment, my NHS dentist says x rays show decay so the only option is to remove, thus leaving me with gaps. I've asked if he can crown or provide other options but he says they don't use crowns anymore? Is this true? He said my only option was dentures or private implants
