Hi, I have a massive hole beneath my lower incisor and 2 NHS dentists say they cannot offer a crown or a denture without a fee. I have had fillings but they come out within a week or so. I receive pension credit. I have a partial denture that I have stopped wearing as it pivots centrally and is painfully uncomfortable and a speech impediment. It has just occurred to me that I can see no reason to not have a crown for free.

A new bad fitting denture is unacceptable go back and insist on proper treatment .
Decent dentistry costs money .

Dental laboratories that make these products are not subsidised by the tax payer . Most earn 14 to 20 K a year .
