Hi,

I’ve had my front four teeth crowned for the 2nd time now.

2 different dentists.

Although they look ok they never feel right,always bulky.

But the biggest prob i have with the permanent crowns is dryness.My top lip just sticks to my teeth and i experience a burning pain.

Rest of the mouth is fine and the i didn’t get the dryness when i had the temps in.

The final crowns have been glazed etc so it’s not making much sense.

They feel fine to the touch as well but just seem a little sticky sometimes until i run my lip over them a few times.

You need to find out what materials are being used ,

When having Crowns make sure you use materials that are minimally invasive. i.e. only need relatively small amounts of tooth removed .

It sounds like insufficient planning has been carried out with the temporary ones not being used as provisionals to plan the ideal contours
The stickiness could be due them not allowing your lip to sit properly
Statistically 1in4 crowned teeth are likely to die needing root filling and each time they are replaced the higher the risk if this
