Properly done porcelain fillings are being offered by many of the finest dentists today. These fillings are more difficult to do for the dentist and there is a commitment to acquire new skills and materials compared to recent times, but correctly done, these fillings can be excellent approaches for restoring teeth that are still somewhat minimally decayed or broken down.
Once the size of the filling gets too large, a porcelain inlay or crown is a better choice. Either way, the results of tooth coloured restorations can be cosmetically beautiful, natural, protective and functional. If the tooth is composite, you can fix it more strongly as the repair material is composite itself and so it bonds chemically instead of mechanically.
