I want to replace my two front teeth, possibly a third, mainly because of a filling at the gum line on one and the fact that they are crossing, so that I can begin to smile broadly for the first time since my teens (when the filling was put there)!  I work full-time and can take time off only as part of my holiday allowance, which I am planning now. I will pay to have the best possible result, lasting for the longest poss...

How can you stop deterioration of the gums and loosening of teeth despite cleaning appropriately and using Corsodyl, as recommended by my dentist? Is it simply a case that this deterioration is a sympton of getting older? Are there better mouthwashes than Corsodyl? Are there better gels than Gengigel?

My wife's teeth have progressively become more yellow. She is worried about chemical bleaching.  What is involved in ceramic coating her front teeth, and what would be the ball-park cost?  Is ceramic coating a specialist task, or could her normal dentist do it?

She examined & X-Rayed the tooth & determined that there was a minor infection in the root of the tooth beneath the gold crown. I asked for Antibiotics to remove the infection because it was causin...

Hi I've just had a replacement gold crown fitted to a lower molar, privately (£635), and have raised, with the dentist, the issue of, what I consider to be, excessive scratches on the surface of this new gold crown. These scratches, which are visible on the outer surface, occurred when the dentist was scratching, and scraping off the excessive bonding agent, which had stuck to the crown, during fitting. The dentist's response,...

Recently a 5 year old porcelain crown ( lower back) broke off while I was eating. It couldn't be replaced due to the fact some tooth and filling had broken off with it. The dentist told me that I would need a new crown, with posts and root filling. He told me to keep the broken crown safe so I could show the new dentist about to take over the practice for colour matching. He showed me xrays of the roots, said they were good an...

Hi there i just had a vaneer fitted today and though it was a good colour match, as soon as she fitted it,it turned yellow. I am soo unhappy as all my natural teeth are quiet white and then i have one of my front teeth bright yellow! I was told by the dentist that this is because the vaneer is thin and once fixed with the cement it turns yellow!? Surely this cant be right as no one would ever have the right colour match once f...
