Dear Dentist, My daughter is 11 years old and we live in Leamington Spa. In her recent dental examination her dentist told us her four adult molar teeth should be extracted. One of those was filed couple of years ago and one has decay. The other two are OK. He advised us removing all four needed as her new teeth will fill the gap. My worry is not just only removal of these teeth including two healthy one but also potential und...

Dentist ordered and fitted a crown without asking my opinion on colour. He was always in a rush. I did not see the crown until I got home and its bright yellow. When I went back the dentist said the lab had sent the wrong colour and it wasn't his fault. He says my tooth is too decayed to handle the crown being replaced and I either live with it or have it removed, that's all he will do. Advice? (The crown cost £300

I have a dilemma with a tooth which had root canal treatment four years ago, done privately (and expensive!). All has been fine so far, but on a routine x-ray with a new dentist, it shows there is infection on the tip of one of the roots/canals! I have no symptoms whatsoever. My dentist has said this can be treated by redoing the one canal and replacing the crown. (expensive!) But has also said it is a dormant infection that m...

I visited my NHS dentist because I had had several weeks of a painfully sensitive tooth. He could not see any visible problem and said I should use sensitive toothpaste, but come back if it didn't improve. Despite some improvement, it got worse again and I made another appointment 8 weeks later where he removed the existing filling and discovered it was pretty bad underneath and needed root canal treatment. This was charged as...

Hello, I have a full set of upper dentures, but I will soon need a bottom set too. This means I will have to have a new set of upper ones too. When you have both dentures fitted at the same time, do you only pay the band 3 price once, or would I have to pay double because I will be having 2 dentures?

I need root canal on one of my back molars. My dentist has said she can do it on the NHS for 53.90 but because she is a generalist and because the surgery doesn’t have the right equipment she estimates a 50% success rate. She says it would be better if I went private but this will cost about £650 and will have 80/90% success. What should I do?
