I am 30

I am 30 years old and have had a porcelain crown on my second last bottom molar since my early teens. The gum has slowly receded over time so you can see silver around the porcelain, now I can see some of the original tooth where the gum has receded. I was prompted to look because the gum felt a bit tender when I was brushing. Is this bad??

Tender gum to brushing and recession of the gum over time, are usually signs of inflammation associated with "gum disease"
The best way to treat this is with correct cleaning and your dentist or hygienist can assist you with the best technique
Recession in itself is not a bad thing so long as the gum is now healthy and remains so in the future
