I had root canal treatment following damage to my tooth by a previous dentist during a small filling. The new dentist fitted a crown which is a bit "fat" and the top has no definition, but I can live with this. However, I have aching on and off and I can feel the edge where the crown ends just above the gumline. The dentist has told me that this is good as the crown line can be seen, which is beneficial. This is on three sides...

My crown fell out 3 days ago and today I went to get it re attached by an emergency dentist (not my own). As I have left I have looked in the mirror and noticed that the tooth next to it has moved (it appears to have been pushed in). I am now biting on this moved tooth as it stands proud from the others. This seems ridiculous, but is it possible that a tooth can move as a crown is pushed into place?

Hello, I had a NHS crown fitted in August on my front tooth. After it was fitted there was a black gap big enough that food got caught in it and it looked horrible. I have been back today to talk to my dentist but she said all she can do is putting a composite filling in which she did. It doesn't look great and I am so unhappy but I don't know what to do. Is that normal procedure? I hope you can help

I visited my dentist due to persistent pain. After three visits, he concluded that the problem was because my gums had receded from a crown. He replaced the crown. I still have the pain and now the bite is off. I cannot chew on that side due to the bite and pain. My dentist does not accept that there is a continuing problem and says the bite is fine. Should I get a second opinion?

I broke my front tooth 20 years ago and have been having trouble ever since. After having the first crown fitted I experienced pain with the nerve so had the nerve removed. The porcelain crown I have now is starting to look ugly. The crown is still great (if a little lower than should be) but my receeding gum has a black/purple mark at the top of the crown. My dentist told me that as the tooth has no nerve the crown has droppe...
